Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Developer - Hybrid position with a Major Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract opportunity. This role involves the design, development, testing, and support of software applications, risk systems, and market data feeds. The primary technologies used will be Python, SQL, and C#/.Net, with a focus on messaging middleware and AWS/Azure cloud platforms. The candidate will work closely with business users, analysts, and project managers to deliver robust solutions.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, support, and maintain software applications
- Work with risk systems and market data feeds
- Collaborate with Business Users, Business Analysts, Project Managers, infrastructure teams, and other application teams
Requirements: - 5-7 years of professional experience in Software Development for the Brokerage Business domain (Front, Middle, and Back-office solutions)
- Hands-on development experience in Python and SQL programming
- Strong knowledge of SQL with the ability to write and simplify complex queries and improve performance
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and self-direct
- Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and stakeholders
- Strong project and people management skills
- Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences
- Expertise in algorithms, system development methodologies, and software architecture design
Desired skills: - Experience in the financial domain
- Experience with IBM MQ or other messaging tools
- Experience with SOAP and REST API
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS and Azure)
- Experience designing and architecting systems
