Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
Cable Technician to support large-scale
new construction cabling projects in the Nashville area. This is a long-term opportunity offering steady work and the ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with
voice and data cabling, can work independently from blueprints, and is comfortable potentially leading helpers.
Top Skills & Responsibilities- Install voice and data cabling in new construction environments
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Run jobs independently, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and provide updates to project leads
- Manage helpers on site, ensuring productivity and quality of work
- Interface professionally with customers and other trades in the field
- Install cable pathways including tray, J-hooks, and conduit
- Pull and dress Category 6+ copper and fiber optic cable
- Terminate faceplates, jacks, and patch panels
- Follow job site safety standards and construction best practices
Qualifications- Extensive experience installing low-voltage voice and data cabling
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on active construction sites
- Experience leading or mentoring junior technicians or helpers
- Strong communication skills for customer and team interaction
- Familiarity with hand tools, drills, and general construction equipment
- Experience in low voltage, electrical, or general construction preferred

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
