Overview

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for an Engineering Project Lead at our Boston, Massachusetts Engineering office. In this position, you would be a key part of the Engineering team, developing innovative and high-quality products for our Commercial and Residential businesses.

The products and systems you develop are destined for use in the most cutting edge residential and commercial environments.

Our engineers contribute to all phases of the product life cycle from initial concept and prototyping to supporting production. Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams developing innovative electromechanical products.
  • Drive new product development from concept through production.
  • Align mechanical, electrical, embedded, and manufacturing teams around project goals.
  • Provide technical and project leadership for complex development initiatives.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent.
  • Foster collaboration across Lutron's teams, disciplines, and locations.
  • Contribute hands-on technical expertise when needed.
  • Drive resolution of complex technical and business challenges.
  • Champion quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support organizational growth through talent and process development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in people management
  • Minimum 3 years' experience leading cross-functional projects and managing engineering teams
  • Proven experience in product design and development
  • Ability to travel up 10%
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.

Starting pay: $140,500 - 167,500 per year; Lutron's employee benefits include 401k match, health, dental, and life insurance, paid vacation (amount based on tenure with the company), flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement programs.
