Minimum Requirements:
8 years of experience administering and supporting DB2 databases
8 years of experience with DB2 licensing and Passport Advantage management

Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience administering DB2 on AIX environments

Summary:
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking one (1) highly skilled Business Analyst III who meets the qualifications of a Database Administrator (DBA), Level 3 - Emerging.
The Worker will provide advanced database administration and analytical support, with a strong focus on DB2 environments, licensing management, and AIX/UNIX/Linux platforms.
This role supports DPS mission critical systems by ensuring database performance, reliability, and compliance with licensing and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, and support DB2 databases in enterprise environments
Manage and monitor DB2 licensing and passport advantage compliance
Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting
Support databases hosted on AIX, UNIX, and Linux platforms
Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate database and system tasks
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support system requirements
Assist with upgrades, patches, backups, and recovery activities
Ensure adherence to DPS security, compliance, and operational standards
Provide documentation and operational support as required
