Job Description: Project Manager Cybersecurity Job Location: Juno Beach, FL (Onsite) Contract: 12 Months
Position Summary
The Cybersecurity Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering cybersecurity initiatives across the organization. This role ensures that all security projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while aligning with security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and organizational risk-reduction goals. The Project Manager works closely with cybersecurity teams, IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities Project Management
Lead end-to-end planning and execution of cybersecurity projects, including scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Develop detailed project plans, status reports, and dashboards.
Establish project governance, risk registers, RACI matrices, and communication plans.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including Security Operations, Infrastructure, Risk C Compliance, and Application Owners.
Ensure deliverables meet defined security, compliance, and quality standards.
Cybersecurity-Specific Responsibilities
Manage implementation of cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM solutions, vulnerability management platforms, and cloud security solutions.
Support projects related to:
o Zero Trust implementation
o Incident response improvements
o Network segmentation
o Security policy rollouts
o Regulatory or audit remediation (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC2, etc.)
Monitor cybersecurity risks, escalating issues when needed.
Work with security architects and engineers to translate technical requirements into project tasks.
Stakeholder G Vendor Management
Facilitate meetings with technical and business stakeholders.
Manage third-party vendors, ensuring delivery, SLAs, and contract compliance.
Communicate progress, blockers, and risk statuses to leadership.
Documentation G Compliance
Ensure all project documentation is current and complete.
Maintain alignment with compliance, risk management, and audit requirements.
Track project metrics, KPIs, and ROI.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in cybersecurity or IT security projects.
Very good knowledge around DLP, CYWRA, Snowflake
Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as:
o Threat detection
o Vulnerability management
o Identity C access management
o Cloud security (AWS/Azure)
o Regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, PCI, HIPAA)
Proven experience with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Cybersecurity certifications (one or more):
o CISSP, CISM, Security+
o CCSP, CEH, or similar
Project management certifications:
o PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master
Experience working in Agile or hybrid environments.
Experience in risk management and threat modeling.
