Windows Kernel Driver Engineer
Introduction:
As a Windows Kernel Driver Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality, validation, and release readiness of kernel drivers (WDM/KMDF) by collaborating with hardware, firmware, IHVs, and Windows teams. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and performance of drivers through debugging, crash dump analysis, and HLK testing.
Responsibilities:
- Drive quality, validation, and release readiness of kernel drivers (HLK, signing)
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, IHVs, and Windows teams to ensure driver compatibility and performance
- Utilize expertise in C/C++ for driver development and debugging
- Analyze crash dumps and identify root causes of driver issues
- Contribute to the design and implementation of kernel drivers to meet system requirements
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of driver code
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in driver development and Windows kernel technologies
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
- Experience with kernel driver development using WDM/KMDF frameworks
- Ability to debug and analyze crash dumps for driver troubleshooting
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of hardware, firmware, and IHVs
- Experience with HLK testing and driver signing processes
