Summary

This established global technology and industrial automation organization is looking for a Principal OT Product Security Architect to help secure complex automation products and solutions used in modern warehouses, distribution centers, and supply chain operations. This full-time opportunity is based in Atlanta, GA, with a hybrid work environment and a focus on operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), product security, and cloud-connected infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to take a lead role in shaping product security architecture across hardware, software, robotics, industrial networks, and connected systems. You'll work closely with engineering, product management, R&D, and security leadership to embed security into products from initial design through deployment and ongoing support. If you enjoy solving complex security challenges, influencing technical decisions, and building secure-by-design practices across a global organization, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, OT/ICS security, product security, network security, systems engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or assessing OT cybersecurity architectures.
  • Experience in industrial automation, robotics, warehouse automation, manufacturing, industrial control systems, or similar operational technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of OT/ICS architecture, industrial networking, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, firewalls, network segmentation, VPNs, and secure remote access.
  • Experience securing complex hardware, software, embedded systems, and integrated technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of threat modeling, attack-surface assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and risk-based remediation.
  • Familiarity with Windows/Linux, networking, cloud environments, and scripting or automation using Python or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82, ISO 27001, or the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
  • Ability to translate cybersecurity risks and regulatory requirements into practical architecture decisions, engineering requirements, and security controls.
  • Strong communication, technical documentation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence engineering and business teams without direct authority.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Define and maintain OT cybersecurity architecture, technical requirements, security standards, and reference architectures for industrial products and solutions.
  • Lead security architecture reviews across operational technology, software, controls engineering, networking, and cloud-connected environments.
  • Design and evaluate secure network architectures, including segmentation, industrial DMZs, firewalls, secure remote access, and OT-to-cloud connectivity.
  • Integrate secure-by-design principles and DevSecOps practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Establish cybersecurity requirements for products, embedded components, software, industrial systems, and customer deployments.
  • Lead or support threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security architecture evaluations.
  • Develop risk-based vulnerability remediation strategies that account for operational availability, reliability, and safety requirements.
  • Define OT security monitoring requirements and support integration with customer security operations environments.
  • Translate applicable security frameworks and regulations into actionable engineering controls and technical requirements.
  • Support product certifications, conformity assessments, audits, and customer security reviews.
  • Conduct OT cybersecurity assessments and recommend practical remediation strategies for identified risks.
  • Partner with Product Management, R&D, Software Engineering, Controls Engineering, Infrastructure, and Operations to improve security across the product lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance during cybersecurity incidents and help develop secure recovery and resilience strategies.
  • Mentor engineering and security teams on secure architecture and OT cybersecurity best practices.
  • Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and contribute to the organization's long-term security architecture roadmap.
