Manager, HR Systems & Workday Operations

What you get to do:

The Manager, HR Systems & Workday Operations, is an HR leadership role responsible for optimizing Human Resources processes through effective use of Workday. This role oversees the HRIS team, ensures data quality, manages core HCM functionality, and partners with HR Centers of Excellence to enhance workflows and reporting. This position does not function as a Workday technical developer; instead, it focuses on HR operations, process design, and system governance.

This position is based onsite at the United Parks & Resorts Corporate Office in Orlando, FL and requires in-office attendance Monday through Friday.

  • Own and optimize HR processes within Workday, partnering with Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll to improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Oversee the HRIS team responsible for Workday configuration, ensuring that changes support HR strategy and compliance?not performing deep technical configuration yourself.

  • Serve as the HR point of contact for system enhancements, collaborating with IT on integrations and technical issues while maintaining HR ownership of requirements.

  • Ensure data governance, data accuracy, and compliance across all HR processes and Workday modules.

  • Create and maintain HR-driven SOPs, training, and documentation for Workday end users.

  • Support unemployment claim processing and employment verifications through systems like The Work Number.

  • Maintain data integrity by running regular audits and exception reports.

  • Provide data analysis and insights to HR leadership and business partners.

  • Ensure consistent delivery of accurate reports for regulatory and strategic purposes.

What it takes to succeed:

  • The ideal candidate brings Workday expertise from an HR functional perspective, not a technical/integration background.

  • 4?6 years of HRIS experience within Human Resources, with strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance, workflows, and data governance.

  • Workday experience required?particularly in core HCM, business processes, reporting, and security awareness from an HR functional perspective.

  • Experience with additional HR tools and platforms?such as ADP, SharePoint, or ServiceNow?is a plus.

  • Experience leading HR systems enhancements by defining business requirements, partnering with IT, and supporting configuration?not performing technical development.

  • Demonstrated ability to train and support HR teams and end users.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain data confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday at the United Parks & Resorts Corporate Office in Orlando, FL is required.
