Summary

Role Details

Position: SQL Server Database Administrator
Location: Hybrid (Florham Park, NJ)

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain SQL Server databases ensuring high availability and performance
Manage on-prem and Azure SQL environments
Install, upgrade, and migrate database systems
Monitor and tune performance using enterprise monitoring tools
Develop automation scripts using T-SQL and PowerShell
Manage ETL/reporting via SSIS & SSRS
Implement backup, recovery, and security practices
Support DevOps database deployments and CI/CD
Follow Change Management processes
Provide production/on-call support

Required Skills

SQL Server Administration (2017 2022+)
Azure SQL platforms (VMs, MI, Azure SQL DB)
SSMS, SSIS, SSRS
Performance tuning & monitoring tools
T-SQL & PowerShell scripting
HA/DR solutions (AlwaysOn, clustering, replication)
MongoDB exposure
DevOps tools (Bitbucket/Jenkins/Liquibase)

Nice to Have

Azure DBA Certification
ITIL knowledge
Terraform/Bicep/ARM
Kubernetes or system architecture understanding
Experience with MySQL/Postgres
Exposure to AWS/Google Cloud Platform or BI/Data warehousing
