Summary

Job Description

Purpose:

This position will be filled in the Data Analytics & Reporting team within Technology Services. Key responsibilities as a member of the team include detailed data analysis, data modeling and requirements mapping, ETL design and development, analysis cube development, and BI solution development including presentation layer delivery. This position also works closely with Data Architects within the organization to ensure that new analytics solutions align with the enterprise data management strategy. This includes identification of the true source of data, reducing data redundancy and focus on increased integration of data across business units. This includes increasing data quality, compliance, and governance.

Additional requirements of this position include consulting with partners on their business needs, translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and interfacing with the partners and other IT team members to build custom business intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will have proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues that arise within BI and analytics toolsets and the enterprise infrastructure supporting these solutions.

***This position requires 4 on-site days per week in the office.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related degree preferred

Experience with implementing BI/analytics solutions using the Microsoft BI/analytics toolset

Experience using Power BI APIs and Administrative functions

Experience working in a fast-paced, competitive information technology organization

Knowledge/Skills:

Strong technical knowledge implementing business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft BI toolset:

o SQL Server Tools (Analysis Services, Integration Services, Reporting Services, PolyBase)

o Microsoft Azure

o Proficient in DAX

o Databricks

o Administrative skills in Power BI/Fabric

Strong data modeling skills and understanding of data warehouse design techniques

Knowledge of data migration and integration

Deep analytical capability to debug, monitor, and troubleshoot issues with BI solutions

Effective communication (verbal/written) and leadership skills to foster enterprise adoption of BI solutions by power users within business units and other IT teams

Comprehensive consulting skills with proven ability to work with and influence others

Excellent customer service skills

Continuous self-learner

Ability to handle multiple assignments and conflicting priorities

Ability to build productive relationships with a focus on cooperation and teamwork

General Job Responsibilities:

Capture, document, analyze, and correlate business information from multiple data sources

Scope, develop, package and deliver new business intelligence and analytics solutions

Develop online analytical processing (OLAP) cubes, static/dynamic dashboards, and interactive reports, charts, and graphs based on customer needs

Design and develop ETL packages; demonstrate thorough understanding of ETL components

Design, build and deliver new reports, measures, and KPIs

Perform detailed data analysis and developing dimensional data models

Serve as a BI subject matter expert to properly assess BI needs for business unit users and map those needs to appropriate back-end solution architectures (i.e. OLTP/transactional databases, data marts, data warehouses, cubes, tabular models, local data sources, etc.)

Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery

Collaborate with peers; mentoring team members to enhance skills and abilities; providing leadership as required
