Summary

Job Title: Senior Systems Solutions Engineer (Cyber Resilience & Recovery)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Senior Systems Solutions Engineer (Level III) specializing in cyber resilience and infrastructure recovery. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical anchor driving the maturity, operationalization, and validation of our enterprise-wide ransomware recovery governance program. You will lead detailed technological assessments, map complex application dependencies, and design robust testing simulations to ensure infrastructure availability against sophisticated cyber threats. The ideal candidate blends deep infrastructure architecture expertise with a security practitioner's mindset, moving seamlessly from executing hands-on configuration audits to delivering strategic risk metrics to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Assessment & Gap Remediation
Resilience Auditing: Conduct exhaustive assessments of enterprise ransomware preparedness across all technology platforms, core infrastructure, and recovery processes.
Framework Alignment: Evaluate environment architectures against NIST CSF, NIST 800-61, CIS Controls, and industry-leading business continuity standards.
Remediation Mapping: Isolate infrastructural gaps, document precise technical requirements for remediation, and oversee the implementation of procedural and defensive improvements.

Governance, Testing & Application Onboarding
Recovery Validation: Coordinate and execute end-to-end recovery testing for protected applications, including complex infrastructure dependency mapping and data validation.
Onboarding Workflows: Design and implement the technical review framework for onboarding application ecosystems into the corporate resilience program.
Tabletop Simulations: Partner directly with incident response teams to refine recovery playbooks by leading technical exercises, backup simulations, and tabletop crisis scenarios.
Decision Frameworks: Standardize the technical decision-authority matrix by gathering operational requirements, validating systems engineering roles, and aligning workflows.

Risk Modeling, Deliverables & Reporting
Baseline Reporting: Author and deliver a comprehensive current-state cyber resilience baseline assessment within the first 30 days.
Risk Heat Maps: Develop, update, and maintain a technical risk heat map combining test data, infrastructure vulnerabilities, and operational readiness insights.
Executive Dashboards: Establish and maintain a central cyber recovery tracking repository and live dashboard; synthesize complex technical findings into polished presentations for executive stakeholders.
Training Architecture: Author advanced technical documentation, playbooks, and training curricula to elevate the skillsets of operations and support teams.

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Senior-level experience in systems engineering, IT infrastructure solutions architecture, or disaster recovery engineering with a distinct focus on enterprise-scale recovery.
Technical & Security Competency:
oExtensive knowledge of backup and recovery topologies, secure immutable storage, and isolated recovery environments.
oDeep familiarity with implementing controls from the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST SP 800-61 (Computer Security Incident Handling Guide), and CIS Critical Security Controls.
Systems Analysis Skills:
oProven capability to conduct cross-platform infrastructure dependency mapping and analyze system performance data during simulation testing.
oExpert-level technical writing skills with a track record of updating enterprise security policies and business continuity standards.
Soft Skills:
oExcellent presentation and communication skills; proven ability to facilitate meetings with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and brief executive teams.
oStrong leadership capability to influence outcomes across matrixed or virtual engineering organizations.
