Position: Systems Analyst II
Location: 201 Isabella St Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
Duration: 6 Months contract (Extension Possible)
Shift : 8:00am to 4:30 pm M-F
Position Overview
Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Analyst II (Senior Analyst) to join the Global Information Systems (GIS) team at the corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.
In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and offshore resources, supporting and enhancing enterprise financial and analytical systems. You will lead the support and development efforts for Oracle Global Data Warehouse and Oracle Hyperion applications, ensuring reporting consistency across Oracle ERP, Hyperion, and Microsoft SQL Server/Power BI platforms.
This position combines technical expertise, business partnership, and project leadership, requiring strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Application & System Support
- Provide functional and technical support for:
- Oracle Global Data Warehouse
- Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Hyperion Planning & Essbase
- Microsoft SQL Server / Power BI analytical applications
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production support issues.
- Coordinate technical work across infrastructure and application support teams.
- Support and maintain the Orbit reporting tool.
- Participate in system upgrades, deployments, and technology expansions.
Project Leadership
- Lead small to mid-sized projects from initiation through completion.
- Partner with stakeholders to:
- Gather and define business requirements
- Develop project plans and schedules
- Track milestones and budgets
- Identify and mitigate risks
- Communicate status updates to leadership and business partners
Coordinate global teams across multiple offices and time zones.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Identify and champion process improvement opportunities.
- Lead discovery, planning, and implementation of enhancements within functional and cross-functional areas.
- Ensure alignment between technology solutions and business processes.
- Maintain strong working relationships with business leadership, customers, and third-party vendors.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting Hyperion applications.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and Data Security principles.
- Exposure to Oracle ERP modules including:
- Finance
- Project Accounting
- Procurement
- Order-to-Cash
- Req-to-Pay
- Working knowledge of Oracle EPM tools:
- Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Hyperion Planning & Essbase
- FDMEE
- Smart View
- Oracle R12 (12.2)
- Oracle 19c databases
- PL/SQL
- Linux environments
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
