Job Description:

 Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional and technical teams to understand the Government''''s business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Assist in preparing documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution proposals.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and support troubleshooting efforts across environments.
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies (daily stand ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
  • Complete other assigned tasks.

 AI/ML & Data Engineering Skills:

  • Develop, train, and evaluate AI/ML models for tasks such as anomaly detection, classification, clustering, and predictive analytics. Implement ML algorithms including Isolation Forest, One-Class SVM, Autoencoders, K means, DBSCAN and Random Forest
  • Integrate ML workflows into applications using platforms such as MindsDB, O Llama, or other LLM/AI frameworks.
  • Preprocess and analyze datasets, identify anomalies, and tune hyperparameters for model performance improvements.
  • Assist in deploying ML models into production environments (APIs, microservices, databases).
  • Work with enterprise search tools such as Elasticsearch, IBM Watson Explorer, or Vivisimo Search for search driven ML insights.

 Application Development:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java/J2EE.
  • Build microservices and APIs using REST and SOAP based architectures.
  • Contribute to front end components using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Typescript, Tailwind, or JSX.
  • Participate in unit testing (JUnit) and automated build processes (Maven, Ant).
  • Support integration workflows using Talend ESB or Mirth Connect.

 Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience implementing ML algorithms for anomaly detection, clustering, and predictive modeling.
  • Hands on experience with: Isolation Forest, One Class SVM, Autoencoders, K means, DBSCAN, Random Forest
  • Basic experience using LLM frameworks, fine tuning, or deploying models (O Llama preferred).
  • Familiarity with ML deployment, evaluation metrics, and data preprocessing pipelines.
  • Experience with MindsDB or similar automated ML platforms is a plus.

 Core Technical Skills:

Programming & Frameworks: Java/J2EE (JPA, JAXB, JAXP, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JTA/JTS, Servlets, JSP) Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Python/Django or Ruby on Rails (any scripting language experience acceptable), Node.js, React, Typescript, Tailwind (front end experience desired)

Open-source tooling: Maven, Ant, JUnit. Web & Integration Technologies: REST APIs, SOAP RPC, SOAP DOM, XML, XSL, XSLT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Talend ESB, Mirth Connect. Databases: Oracle 12c, IBM DB2, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB. Servers: Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, JRun. Search Technologies: Elasticsearch, IBM Watson Explorer, Vivisimo Search Engine

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with enterprise integration and messaging systems.
  • Any hands-on knowledge of LLM fine tuning, embeddings, or vector databases.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
