Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee aircraft maintenance operations for a leading aviation organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong General Aviation maintenance experience, an active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, and FAA Inspection Authorization (IA). This role is responsible for ensuring aircraft safety, FAA compliance, maintenance quality, and supervising maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Active FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
  • Minimum 3 recent consecutive years as a certificated A&P Mechanic
  • 5+ years of General Aviation maintenance experience
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Chief of Maintenance, or Director of Maintenance is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of FAA Regulations (FAR Part 43 & Part 91)
  • Experience performing aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and return-to-service activities
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Piper aircraft experience
  • Garmin G1000 experience
  • Hangar operations experience
  • Aircraft maintenance documentation and logbook management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company maintenance procedures
  • Perform aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance
  • Complete maintenance documentation and aircraft logbook entries
  • Determine aircraft airworthiness and authorize return-to-service
  • Manage maintenance workflow, tooling, inventory, and hangar operations
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant maintenance environment
