The Opportunity

We're partnering with a specialist aerospace testing organisation focused on fire and flammability certification of aircraft materials and systems.

This is a unique opportunity for a certification engineer to step into a highly specialised environment and work towards becoming a DER (Designated Engineering Representative), with direct support and alignment with the Federal Aviation Administration.

What you'll be doing

• Support and manage aircraft certification projects focused on flammability


• Interpret and apply FAA regulations to real-world testing and compliance scenarios


• Work closely with engineering and testing teams on:
  
  
  
  • Heat release and burn testing
  
  
  • Smoke density and fire behaviour
  
  
  • Material and system certification
  
  
  
  


• Contribute to compliance findings and documentation


• Build the experience required to achieve DER authorisation

What we're looking for

• ~4-8 years' experience in aircraft certification or compliance


• Strong understanding of FAA regulatory frameworks


• Ability to interpret regulations and apply critical thinking


• High level of attention to detail


• Interest in specialising in flammability and fire testing


• Motivation to work in a small, fast-growing company environment
