Summary

We are looking for an innovative Lead DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in cloud computing, scripting and a thorough understanding of CI/CD principles.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will drive the team in improving our operations environment and performance, including CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and cloud computing. In addition, you would apply innovative problem-solving to automate workflows and maximize the operational efficiency of our software engineering team.

In this role, you will shape the future of our DevOps practice, promote a culture of collaboration, and implement innovative solutions to optimize our software development lifecycle.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.

Responsibilities

  • Set up collaborations with the software development team to ensure software and systems interoperability
  • Develop team of talented DevOps engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring they have the resources to excel
  • Design and implement reliable cloud solutions along with service-oriented architectures
  • Enhance CI/CD processes for applications and infrastructure with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or an equivalent
  • Maintain logging, monitoring and alerting solutions to track system health and security
  • Ensure systems' availability, performance, scalability, and security are up to standard
  • Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management

Requirements

  • Understanding of networking and security architectures
  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure), configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef or Puppet), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)
  • Hands-on in logging and monitoring tools (any of Prometheus / Grafana / Splunk / ELK / Graylog / New Relic / AppDynamics / Dynatrace / Datadog / Zabbix or similar)
  • Proven experience leading and motivating a DevOps team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Hands-on in logging and monitoring tools (any of Prometheus / Grafana / Splunk / ELK / Graylog / New Relic / AppDynamics / Dynatrace / Datadog / Zabbix or similar)
  • Passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying bottlenecks and developing creative solutions to automate workflows and optimize efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • English level of B2 and higher
