Compensation:

  • Annual Salary/Hourly Rate: $62,000 to $78,705 / annual

Position Summary:

The Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) is seeking a dedicated IT Application Administrator II to join our team. Provide day-to-day support and administration to the State of Kansas Enterprise platforms. Work closely with stakeholders to conduct diagnostic or troubleshooting activities, implementation of fixes or updates. Will be responsible for the platform lifecycle, including systems analysis, programming, configuration, testing, change management, maintenance, and user communication tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain Enterprise platforms, ensuring data integrity and system performance
  • Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, permissions, and licenses
  • Create and maintain custom fields, page layouts, validation rules, and process automations
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decisions
  • Provide ongoing user support and training across departments
  • Assist with system updates, upgrades, and release management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions
  • Monitor system usage and troubleshoot issues as needed

Required Skills:
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to document support activities, solutions, and procedures for knowledge base articles
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of standard and custom objects
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with data imports, exports, and manipulation
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Seven (7) years of experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field with three (3) years of direct experience and technical proficiency in platform configuration, workflow automation, security controls, data management and problem solving and business analysis.
  • Experience with system security and performance.

Necessary Special Requirements: Ability to obtain and retain an OITS Security and KCJIS clearances are requirement of employment and continued employment.
