Role Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect – SAP Commerce (Hybris) to shape and govern enterprise-scale commerce initiatives across application development, enhancements, AMS support, integrations, and platform modernization. The ideal candidate will combine deep SAP Commerce expertise with enterprise solution design, stakeholder influence, and the ability to translate business objectives into scalable, secure, resilient, and supportable architectures.
- The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, enterprise and domain architects, product owners, security and integration teams, and delivery leadership to define target-state solutions and guide their realization across the delivery lifecycle.
- The successful candidate will provide architecture leadership from discovery through production, balancing functional fit, enterprise standards, integration complexity, security, performance, cost, and operational resilience. The role will also enable delivery teams through clear architectural direction, reusable patterns, and timely design decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Leadership & Governance
- Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP Commerce (Hybris) initiatives from discovery and option assessment through implementation and production adoption.
- Define target-state and transition architectures aligned with business capabilities, enterprise standards, integration patterns, security expectations, performance requirements, and cloud strategy.
- Own technical solutioning for SAP Commerce support, enhancement, and modernization demand, including solution options, trade-offs, estimates, dependencies, risks, and recommended approaches.
- Produce and govern architecture artefacts such as context, component, integration, deployment, dataflow, and non-functional requirement views, together with architecture decisions.
- Facilitate architecture reviews and obtain alignment across enterprise architecture, security, data, integration, infrastructure, and delivery stakeholders before implementation begins.
- Assess scope changes for business capability and technical impact, including architecture, integration, data, performance, security, testing, deployment, cost, and supportability implications.
- Maintain current- and target-state architecture documentation covering SAP Commerce customizations, integrations, extensions, deployment patterns, technology dependencies, and modernization roadmaps.
- Guide engineering teams on architecture intent, design patterns, technical standards, and key non-functional requirements while reducing technical debt and solution complexity.
Required Skills & Experience
1.SAP Commerce Expertise
•16+ years of overall IT experience, including 10+ years of SAP Commerce (Hybris) experience and 5+ years in solution architecture or comparable enterprise design responsibility.
•Strong knowledge of:
oSAP Commerce Cloud platform and deployment architecture
oSAP Commerce OCC APIs, SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration), and integration with SAP solutions such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC
oREST/SOAP services, event-driven integration, and API management
oMicroservices and distributed solution architecture
oIntegration patterns, middleware, data flows, and identity/security considerations
oDatabase technologies, caching, search, scalability, and performance design
oGit, Jenkins, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and cloud operations
oSAP Business Technology Platform and relevant SAP cloud services
2.Integration Experience: Experience designing and governing integrations between SAP Commerce and the following platforms and services:
oSAP S/4HANA
oSAP ECC
oSAP CPI
oContent Management Systems
oPayment Gateways
oThird-Party Services
oCRM and Marketing Platforms
