Summary
Role: Microsoft Exchange Lead
Location: Atlanta, USA, Remote
Duration: 8+ month
Overview: The Exchange Engineer role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange (including on-premises environments) and Office 365.
The candidate must demonstrate deep technical troubleshooting skills and align with the high technical standards set by the previous team leader including extensive Powershell scripting for automation and experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange and hybrid Exchange environment.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
• Exchange Server Patching Strategy
• Understanding of cumulative updates (CUs) and security updates (SUs).
• Experience with patching in high-availability environments (e.g., DAG).
• Familiarity with zero-downtime patching techniques and rollback plans.
• Microsoft Exchange On-Premises Management
• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Exchange Server on-premises.
• Proficiency in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Exchange infrastructure.
• Experience with mailbox migrations, hybrid configurations, and DAG management in on-prem environments.
• Office 365 Licensing Preferences
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 license types (E1, E3, E5, Business Premium, etc.).
• Experience with group-based licensing and automation.
• Ability to optimize license usage and cost.
• Technical Troubleshooting Skills
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in Exchange and Office 365 environments.
• Experience with resolving issues related to patching, database management, and DAG configurations.
