We are a Top ENR heavy civil contractor seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across transportation, industrial, and energy sectors.

Job Details

This is not a small-project environment- you'll be involved in high-impact infrastructure work that requires coordination, planning, and execution at scale. Advancement is based on performance and contribution, not tenure.

You'll gain exposure to a wide range of projects, including:
  • DOT highway and bridge construction
  • Design-build and progressive design-build delivery
  • Industrial, mining, and energy infrastructure
  • Large-scale civil site development

Work alongside teams that self-perform critical scopes, providing deeper exposure to:
  • grading and earthwork
  • structures
  • utilities
  • civil site development

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support project execution from preconstruction through closeout on heavy civil projects
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Track quantities, production, and costs to ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, including scope, performance, and cost tracking
  • Participate in project meetings with owners, engineers, and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with scheduling, procurement, and project controls

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or related infrastructure projects
  • Experience working on DOT, transportation, utilities, water, mining, or site development projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, and field operations
  • Experience with design-build projects is preferred
