Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Programmer with hands-on experience in the gas turbine and/or aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing inspection programs to ensure precision measurement and compliance with stringent aerospace quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit, and optimize CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or MCOSMOS.
  • Perform inspections of complex components including turbine blades, vanes, rotors, stators, casings, and other precision aerospace parts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and CAD models.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve dimensional and process-related issues.
  • Analyze inspection data and generate detailed reports using statistical analysis tools.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO standards, and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Maintain calibration and proper operation of CMM equipment.
  • Troubleshoot programming and measurement discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a CMM Programmer within the aerospace or gas turbine manufacturing industry.
  • Strong expertise in CMM programming software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, high-precision components.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials including superalloys, titanium, and composite materials.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and aerospace quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with advanced aerospace manufacturing and inspection processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies.
