We are seeking an experienced SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of PLM processes, integration with SAP modules, and experience supporting complex manufacturing or regulated industry environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support end-to-end SAP PLM implementations in S/4HANA environments.
Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct workshops, and map business processes to SAP PLM functionalities.
Configure and support PLM components, including:
Engineering Records (ER)
Engineering Change Management (ECM)
Document Management System (DMS)
Material Master / BOM / Routing integrations
Product Structure Management
Specification Management
Create and manage PLM objects such as change numbers, change requests, and engineering documents.
Integrate PLM with other SAP modules like MM, PP, QM, EWM, PP-PI, and MDG.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality.
Support data migration activities — materials, documents, BOMs, and change records.
Perform system testing, UAT support, training, and production cutover activities.
Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of SAP experience with at least 5 years in SAP PLM.
Strong hands-on experience with S/4HANA PLM capabilities.
Functional expertise in:
Engineering Change Management
DMS (Document Management System)
Material Master / BOM management
Product structures and lifecycle processes
Experience in manufacturing, CPG, medical devices, automotive, or regulated industries (preferred).
Experience working with Engineering, R&D, and Product Development teams.
Ability to create functional specs and work with ABAP and technical teams.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP PLM or S/4HANA certifications
Experience with SAP ECTR, IPC, or SAP Recipe Management
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
Exposure to SAP MDG or Product Compliance modules
