Senior QA Analyst

Location: Glendale, CA
Duration: 3-Month Contract (Possible Extension)
Work Schedule: Onsite 4 Days per Week

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior QA Analyst to support the testing and validation of web applications, backend systems, and integrated platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong manual testing expertise, hands-on API validation experience, advanced SQL skills, and exposure to Salesforce Commerce Cloud environments. Retail industry experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive manual testing of web applications, backend systems, and integrated platforms.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Validate REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Execute database validation and data integrity testing using SQL queries.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurately implemented.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployments, and post-release validation activities.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality assurance recommendations throughout the SDLC.
• Analyze test results and provide clear status updates to project teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Assurance and Manual Testing experience.
• Strong experience testing web-based applications and backend systems.
• Hands-on experience validating REST APIs.
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write and execute complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience creating and executing detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Experience supporting UAT and production validation activities.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
• Exposure to Salesforce applications and integrations.
• Retail or eCommerce industry experience.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
