RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Enterprise Cloud Platforms Engineer - Windows in Boca Raton, FL to design, engineer, and support enterprise Windows-based compute platforms across a hybrid infrastructure environment, including on-premises data centers and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and support Windows-based compute platforms in hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
* Engineer and manage Windows Server infrastructure, including domain services and enterprise application hosting
* Lead infrastructure builds, upgrades, and migrations across environments
* Architect and support Active Directory environments, including domain services, trust relationships, and Group Policy
* Manage core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and load balancing
* Design and troubleshoot DNS zones, DHCP scopes, and name resolution services
* Engineer and support load balancing solutions for traffic distribution, high availability, and failover
* Translate architectural designs into deployable, scalable infrastructure solutions
* Manage virtualization platforms, including VMware (vSphere/vCenter) and cloud-based compute services
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and PowerShell
* Drive automation for provisioning, patching, and configuration management
* Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term solutions for platform incidents
* Ensure compliance with security standards, patching policies, and configuration baselines
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application, networking, and security teams
* Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices
* Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Microsoft Windows certifications; Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform); Other relevant technical certifications
* 5-8+ years of experience in Windows infrastructure engineering or system administration
* Experience with enterprise Windows environments and infrastructure services
* Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware preferred)
* Strong experience with Windows Server platforms (2016/2019/2022)
* Experience managing enterprise infrastructure services and load balancing solutions
* Hands-on experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter)
* Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (on-premises + cloud)
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or similar)
* Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services
* Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell preferred)
* Solid understanding of compute, storage, networking, and system integration concepts
* Strong troubleshooting skills across complex, multi-domain environments
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), specifically Compute Engine (GCE)
* Experience with enterprise load balancing tools (e.g., F5, AVI, or cloud-native solutions)
* Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience
* Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices
* Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or migration initiatives
* Exposure to capacity planning, cost optimization, or FinOps practices
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
