We are searching for the best talent for a Process Engineer.

The Process Engineer provides technical expertise to maintain a validated operating state, ensure reliability of equipment and process assets, and lead continuous improvement projects for a highly automated and efficient medical device distribution hub.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure automation and facility systems documentation is managed, controlled, approved and reviewed to meet compliance requirements; this role has a key responsibility to maintain all SDLC artifacts for our Warehouse Execution System
  • Author test plans and protocols for systems validation and conduct end-to-end testing from our Warehouse Management System to Warehouse Execution System to Warehouse Control System
  • Manage the planning and execution of projects including, but not limited to, application & control system software upgrades, material handling automation, network capability enhancements, and new distribution process launches
  • Contribute to our culture of Process Excellence, sponsoring the adoption of best practices and employing structured LEAN methods to achieve sustainable process improvements in safety, quality, and OEE
  • Develop data sources to establish leading indicators of key automation and systems performance performance; build condition-based alerts that enable rapid response to changing system conditions
  • Partner with internal DePuy Synthes team members and external technology suppliers to develop and propose new technologies, capabilities, and systems that lessen our environmental footprint and drive operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate effectively with 3rd party logistics personnel to strengthen our preventive/corrective maintenance program and provide training for troubleshooting automation systems
  • Translate customer, product, and regulatory requirements into the design and execution of new distribution processes using a systems engineering approach that focuses on requirements analysis, functional analysis, and design synthesis to achieve desired outcomes

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in Mechanical, Industrial/Systems, Electrical, or Information Systems preferred.

Required -
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant professional work experience
  • Experience in warehousing/distribution or production environments in a technical role
  • Hands-on experience implementing equipment and systems; providing technical execution for software deployments or equipment FAT/IQ/OQ/PQ
  • Ability to be an expert user of warehouse management systems (WMS) and warehouse execution systems (WES)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present clear and concise information to leadership
  • Must have a passion for technical writing and ability to troubleshoot complex process flows across a system of field devices, equipment, controls, software, and people

Preferred -
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing or warehousing/distribution
  • Experience contributing to- or leading multi-functional low to mid-level complexity projects
  • Process Excellence / Lean certification with evidence of practical application
  • Working knowledge of Blue Yonder, Exacta, Windchill, AutoCAD, & JIRA, MSSQL, and Rockwell Studio 5000
  • Experience implementing Cognex vision system applications, scripting, and integration
