Location: Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Employment Type: W2 or Full Time
Rate: $65/hr on W2 OR $135K per annum
Experience Required: 8–12+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AEM Engineer with strong Java expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development, frontend and backend components, performance tuning, and enterprise-level integrations.

Key Responsibilities

AEM Frontend Development

• Strong experience with Touch UI & Classic UI
• Development of:
  • Components
  • Content Fragments & Experience Fragments
  • Editable Templates
  • Client Libraries (ClientLibs)

AEM Backend Development

• Hands-on experience with:
  • OSGi Framework
  • JCR (Java Content Repository)
  • Apache Sling
  • WCM APIs
  • Sling Models
• Workflow & Job Handling:
  • Workflow, Workflow Launcher
  • Event Handler & Event Listener
  • Scheduler & Sling Jobs
• Integration:
  • REST API integrations
  • Authentication mechanisms
  • Multi-Site Manager (MSM) setup
• Repository Management:
  • Query Builder
  • Searching & Indexing
  • Session Management

Security

• Strong knowledge of:
  • Access Control Lists (ACL)
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • AEM Security Layers

Performance Tuning

• Page performance optimization
• Dispatcher caching strategies
• Query optimization
• Debugging and log-level analysis

Infrastructure & Maintenance

• Experience in:
  • Cron Job setup
  • Dispatcher configuration
  • Apache Web Server setup
• AEM Administration:
  • Backup & Restore processes
  • Daily/Weekly maintenance tasks
  • Usage of ACS AEM Commons

AEM Persistence Layer

• Hands-on experience with:
  • TarMK
  • MongoMK
  • S3-based storage

Build & Deployment

• Build tools:
  • Maven / Ant
• CI/CD:
  • Jenkins pipelines
  • Production deployment experience

Java Expertise

• Strong proficiency in:
  • Exception Handling
  • Collections Framework
  • Design Patterns
  • Multithreading

Use Case Experience

• Migration from Non-CMS platforms
• Headless CMS implementations
• Integration with external systems
• Content offloading strategies
• Following coding best practices
