About This Job:
As a Senior Agentic Software Engineer, you are a product-minded, customer-focused, full-stack engineer who ships faster and smarter by leveraging AI coding agents as core development tools. Operating with limited oversight and broad organizational scope, you architect systems, set technical direction, and drive engineering standards across teams — exercising wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches for critical technical initiatives. You make high-impact architectural and strategic decisions that shape the platform's technical foundation, evaluating complex trade-offs that balance innovation, risk, scalability, and business impact. You lead by example — mentoring engineers across teams, influencing technology investment decisions, and shaping the adoption of agentic development practices company-wide using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot. You will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment that crosses multiple technology domains, business teams, and offices.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Architect, design, and develop features and services for our travel platform as a technical leader on a full-stack product development team
· Drive the adoption and standardization of agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) across engineering teams, establishing best practices, prompt libraries, and workflows that amplify developer productivity organization-wide
· Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability — setting the quality standard across teams
· Revitalize services and architectures that have outlasted their original implementations through refactoring, migration, and cloud-native distributed architectural design
· Write clean, testable, peer-reviewed, and optimized high-performance code — whether authored manually or collaboratively with AI agents
· Design the organization's agentic workflow strategy, defining patterns and platforms that automate engineering tasks such as testing, documentation, code review triage, and deployment checks at scale
· Architect Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that connect AI agents to internal tools, data sources, and platform services — defining the strategic blueprint for agent capabilities across the development lifecycle
· Lead improvements to development and operations of an increasingly distributed architecture across cloud platforms
· Advocate for change in quality, durability, and technical debt reduction by working with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Product Designers and other key partners
· Safeguard the privacy, security, and trust of our members' sensitive data throughout our implementations, in partnership with our Risk and Security teams
· Unleash the velocity of our engineers and systems with processes and implementations that allow us to ship quicker, learn sooner, and isolate impacts
· Establish and help us meet backend and system SLOs to protect us through future growth
· Mentor and guide engineers across teams on effective use of AI-assisted development, prompt engineering techniques, and agentic workflow design
Qualifications/Requirements of the Position:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
· 8+ years of full-stack development and architectural experience building web applications and services
· Expert proficiency using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in professional development workflows
· Extensive experience in building modern web applications, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture and patterns
· Strong proficiency in two or more of the following: TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, C#/.NET
· Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular
· Proven ability to architect and deliver cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
· Demonstrated ability to use AI coding agents to accelerate development velocity, improve code quality, and design scalable engineering automation strategies
· Advanced prompt engineering skills for code generation, debugging, testing, and documentation, with the ability to establish prompt patterns and libraries for the broader team
· Deep understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and experience architecting MCP server ecosystems to give AI agents secure, structured access to internal APIs, databases, and tooling
· Working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LangChain, and graph-based data technologies (GraphRAG, GraphDB)
· Hands-on experience building high-performance applications in cloud and hybrid environments
· Solid experience working with real-time streaming and distributed messaging platforms such as Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
· Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
· Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and modern DevOps practices
· Significant experience leading technical designs, mentoring engineers across teams, and driving engineering maturity at an organizational level
· Experience with modern project management and collaboration tools (Jira, ADO, GitHub, or similar)
· Agile software delivery experience (iterative planning and delivery)
· Excellent communication skills, strong working relationships, and a high degree of team collaboration
· Ability to evaluate, integrate, and champion emerging AI development tools and stay current with the rapidly evolving agentic coding landscape.
