Job Description:
The IT Hardware Staging & Deployment Technician will support hands-on server staging and deployment activities for end-users. This contract role focuses on imaging, configuring, validating, and shipping server hardware according to established technical procedures. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with physical hardware, and the ability to follow precise build documentation.Main responsibilities Stage and configure server hardware using provided imaging and deployment instructions
Unbox, cable, power on, and connect servers and required peripherals
Perform server builds via network boot method
Enter and validate configuration details such as host selection, IP addressing, and time zones
Verify successful staging and identify errors or failures during the build process
Label completed hardware clearly with required identification information
Package servers and accessories according to shipping standards
Ensure all required equipment is included prior to shipment
Escalate technical issues, build failures, or hardware defects to the appropriate teams
Follow all documented processes, quality checks, and scope limitations
Job requirements1. Hands-on experience with computer or server hardware
2. Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (IP address, subnet, gateway)
3. Ability to follow detailed technical documentation with accuracy
4. Strong attention to detail and quality verification
5. Ability to lift, move, and package IT equipment as required
Work Environment Onsite, task driven role in a hardware staging or fulfillment environment
Schedule may align to deployment deadlines and rollout needs
