Summary
Front End Engineers
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote
Rate: $50/hr.
Primary responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain PHP. React-based user interfaces and Node.js front-end tooling
- Integrate with backend APIs; manage authentication, error handling, and state management
- Ensure responsive, performant, and accessible UI experiences
- Maintain and incrementally modernize existing PHP-based components
- Collaborate closely with backend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless releases
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript patterns
- Node.js ecosystem knowledge (build tools, package management, testing frameworks)
- REST API integration; comfortable working
- with SQL and data models
- UI performance optimization and debugging skills
- Testing mindset (unit, integration) and understanding of accessibility standards
- Experience working in structured Git workflows and CI/CD environments
- React (preferred) + Node.js; modern UI patterns
- PHP experience for legacy components / integrations
- API consumption (REST/JSON); auth patterns (JWT/OAuth)
- Ability to communicate with databases (SQL) as needed
- Testing and quality: unit/integration tests, CI checks
