Job DescriptionYou will be the Air Vehicle Health Management / IVHM Data Scientist Senior - Level 3 for the F-35 DPHM Team which is responsible for turning raw PHM sensor data into actionable intelligence that improves fleet maintainability and reduces cost.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Air Vehicle Health Management / IVHM Data Scientist Senior - Level 3 you will be responsible for designing, building, and sustaining advanced analytics that enable predictive maintenance across the F-35 fleet.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Transform raw PHM sensor and health-test data into curated data sets and automated analytics pipelines.
- Develop, validate, and prototype machine-learning-driven prognostic algorithms to predict component failures.
- Enhance diagnostic fault-filtering capabilities and improve PHM data products through automation.
- Coordinate with technical leads, brief engineering leadership, and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with external hardware/software teams and suppliers to align architecture, testing, and sustainment of health-management solutions.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, applied mathematics, or equivalent industry/technical experience
Experience with Python programming
Experience with data science, analysis, modeling, and/or visualization (Tableau, Power BI, etc).
Experience with data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning, databases, and SQL.
Desired skills Prefer advanced degree in engineering, computer science, data science, applied mathematics, or equivalent industry/technical experience
Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and techniques (simulation, scenario analysis, clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.)
Experience working with and creating data architectures
Proactive engagement with team members to resolve technical issues
Demonstrated ability to independently lead analytics efforts from problem definition to deployment.
Strong ability to tell a story with data for non-data-scientist stakeholders and leadership
Good problem solving and organizational skills.
Demonstrated experience and integration of Aviation Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, or Air Vehicle software.
Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, or DPHM capability development in commercial or military aviation.
Experience in Systems engineering
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,900 - $184,920. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
