Summary

Lead Test Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective test methods and troubleshooting for complex hardware/software systems across all product development and manufacturing phases. Acts as a cross-functional technical expert and team lead, owning test strategies, fixtures, equipment, and protocols for new and existing diagnostic products.

Key Responsibilities (Shortened):

Lead design, development, and implementation of test hardware, software, fixtures, and equipment; define requirements, specifications, and procedures.

Develop deep product and clinical-use understanding; promote product and test knowledge across the organization.

Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, prioritize and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and improve test efficiency.

Review system-level requirements (HRS, SRS, safety, functional, third-party) and ensure full coverage in system-level testing.

Create and execute test plans, test requirements, test specifications, and test equipment UI requirements for new product introduction.

Provide technical leadership: coordinate and lead test activities, support personnel, and drive high product quality and continuous improvement.

Communicate progress, schedules, risks, budgets, and resource needs to stakeholders.

Partner with Product Management and domain experts to influence product design, quality, and testability; identify product improvements.

Build and maintain strong relationships with Design Assurance, Regulatory, Clinical, and other key functions; lead cross-functional test-related initiatives.

Identify and drive adoption of best practices and new technologies in software, hardware, and systems testing.

Mentor and guide peers to support learning, development, and knowledge transfer.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $119,300 - $186,600 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
