Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Java Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Java API/backend development and secondary experience in React UI development. The successful candidate should have experience building scalable REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, along with the ability to contribute to modern React-based user interfaces. A key requirement for this role is practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and Vibe Coding or Spec-Driven Development approaches to accelerate code development, testing, documentation, refactoring, and delivery.
Mandatory Areas:
- Backend/API: Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, Spring MVC/Security, RESTful APIs, Microservices, JSON, JPA/Hibernate.
- Frontend: React.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive UI / SPA development.
- Testing/API tools: JUnit, Mockito, TDD, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Data & Integration: SQL, PostgreSQL/Oracle; MongoDB; Kafka/messaging preferred.
- DevOps/Cloud: Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD, Jenkins/GitHub/GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift; AWS/Azure exposure.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17/21.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
- Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of API design, JSON, integration patterns, and backend application architecture.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate and relational database integration.
- Ability to develop scalable, maintainable, and testable backend services.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools as part of day-to-day software development.
- Experience with Vibe Coding, Spec-Driven Development, or similar AI-assisted development approaches.
- Ability to translate functional requirements or specifications into working code with the assistance of AI development tools.
- Experience using AI tools for activities such as code generation, unit testing, refactoring, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
- Ability to review, validate, test, and refine AI-generated code to ensure it meets functional and engineering standards.
- Experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience developing responsive web applications and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
- Ability to integrate React applications with backend REST APIs.
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito.
- Understanding of TDD and automated unit testing.
- Hands-on experience with Postman.
- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation and validation.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
- Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-driven technologies is preferred.
- Experience with Git and standard source-control practices.
- Experience with Maven and/or Gradle.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and/or GitLab.
- Working knowledge of Docker.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based REST APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
- Develop secure, scalable, and reusable backend services and integrations.
- Contribute to React-based UI development where required.
- Integrate frontend applications with Java APIs and backend services.
- Apply Vibe Coding or Spec-Driven Development practices using AI coding tools to improve development productivity.
- Review and validate AI-generated code before incorporating it into the application.
- Develop unit tests and support automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, and related tools.
- Create and maintain API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Troubleshoot application and API issues across backend and frontend components.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding, security, testing, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong engineering background with Java API/backend development as the primary expertise.
- Good working experience with React UI development.
