BHE GT&S JOB DESCRIPTIONBHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Technical Specialist/Senior Technical Specialist at our White Oaks General Office location in Bridgeport, WV.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and support the development and execution of capital projects for interstate natural gas transmission facilities, including pipeline, compressor station, and measurement and regulation projects, liquified natural gas (LNG), from concept through commissioning and closeout.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, funding requests, and execution plans to support successful project delivery.
- Provide project management and engineering support throughout project development, design, procurement, construction, startup, and closeout activities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, engineering consultants, contractors, and vendors to achieve project objectives and ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective project execution.
- Prepare requisitions for engineering services, equipment, materials, and construction services; support bid evaluations and contract administration.
- Perform and/or review engineering analyses, calculations, designs, technical specifications, and cost studies required to support project decisions.
- Monitor project scope, budget, schedule, risks, and performance, and develop recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry codes, company standards, safety requirements, and project documentation requirements, including maintenance of accurate project records and as-built information.
QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in applicable discipline.
In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, theories, and practices.
Ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
Ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
Strong oral, written, and graphical communication skills, including technical writing.
Ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature.
Ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments.
Ability to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes.
Ability to function effectively independently and as a member on a technical team.
Excellent organization and project management skills.
Excellent personal computer skills, including knowledge of applicable software programs.
Education
Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor\'s degree.)
