Location: Bay Area, CA (Hybrid Travel Involved)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Must have: Focus on SAP IBP Response & Supply. Note: We require Order-Based Planning (OBP) experience, not Time Series, Lead blueprinting, configuration (Heuristics, Optimizer, Pegging rules), and integration with S/4HANA (MM, PP, SD) via SDI/CPI.
Role Overview:
- We are seeking an accomplished SAP IBP Response & Supply Expert with strong functional knowledge of S/4HANA MM (Materials Management) and PP (Production Planning) to join our consulting team.
- Note on Requirements:
- Within the Response & Supply (R&S) module, we are specifically looking for candidates with Order-Based Planning (OBP) experience. Please note that Time Series-based planning experience will not meet the requirements for this specific role.
- The ideal candidate will possess 12–15 years of end-to-end SAP Supply Chain experience, including hands-on configuration, solution design, and client leadership across global transformation programs. We need a professional who can bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution to drive measurable value in complex supply chain environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Implementations: Drive end-to-end SAP IBP Response & Supply implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, integration, and deployment.
- Solution Design: Conduct process assessments and gap analysis; lead solution design workshops with stakeholders to define OBP processes aligned with business goals.
Hands-on Configuration:
- Supply planning heuristics and optimizers.
- Order-based planning and pegging rules.
- Supply propagation and response planning scenarios.
- Deployment and Transport Load Building (TLB).
- Key figure modelling and planning area extensions.
- Integration Management: Guide S/4HANA integration via SDI/CPI and OData interfaces; ensure seamless data flow between IBP and S/4HANA (MM, PP, SD).
- Documentation: Deliver functional specifications for custom developments and create solution blueprints.
- Leadership: Provide thought leadership on SAP best practices; mentor junior consulting teams and support delivery governance.
- Business Development: Support client proposals, demos, and the development of internal accelerators and estimation models.
Required Skills:
- Candidate should have 12–15 years in SAP, focusing on Supply Planning and Execution.
- IBP Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP IBP Response & Supply (specifically OBP) and supply planning optimization.
- S/4HANA Knowledge: Deep expertise in PP and MM, including material planning, MRP, capacity planning, and production order execution.
Proven Track Record:
- Configuring and testing IBP models and planning areas.
- Managing end-to-end data integration between IBP and S/4HANA.
- Executing constraint-based and demand-driven supply planning.
Soft Skills:
- Strong executive presence with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in Manufacturing, CPG, Life Sciences, or High-Tech industries is preferred.
- Methodology: Familiarity with Agile/SAP Activate methodology.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certifications:
- Required: SAP Certified Application Consultant – IBP for Supply and Response.
- Preferred: SAP S/4HANA certification in PP or MM.
