OverviewThis telecommunications organization specializes in four major categories:

The team manages a wide range of in-building wireless projects, including the construction, installation, and maintenance of wireless access points and DAS infrastructure. Current projects span federal, state, and local government, as well as education, transportation, stadiums/venues, and healthcare environments.
This role specifically supports the
Illinois market, with work occurring across
Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana, and occasional nationwide travel.
Position SummaryThe organization is seeking an
experienced Lead DAS Technician to support advanced DAS installations, troubleshooting, testing, and field leadership within a small two-person team. This role requires strong technical depth across RF/DAS systems, OEM platforms, power systems, and hands-on problem solving.
The Lead Technician will:
- Oversee workstreams and small crews
- Interface with contractors and customers
- Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting
- Support new builds, existing campuses, hospitals, schools, stadiums, and public-safety environments
Travel may include overnight stays (up to four nights at a time). A company vehicle is provided, and hotels/flights are covered. Per diem is
$65/day.
Technical ScopeWork includes installation and support of:
- DAS and low-voltage systems
- Public safety systems
- Fiber and coax infrastructure
- ODAS/IDAS deployments
- 1/2" coax
- OEM platforms such as: JMA, ADRF, SOLiD, Comba/Somba, SpiderCloud, Ericsson systems & radios
Work Schedule- Monday-Friday, typically 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Standard 40-hour work week with opportunities for overtime
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and in commercial, hospital, government, and public-safety environments
This is a
long-term, full-time opportunity, beginning as a 6-month contract-to-hire with a strong history of conversion.
Top Skills RequiredLead DAS Technician- 3+ years of DAS, RF, CO/WAP, or related low-voltage telecom experience
- DAS experience is required
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- QC/QA, vendor management, project leadership, reporting, overseeing small teams
- Strong troubleshooting and testing background, including:
- JDSU testing
- Anritsu
- PIM/Sweep testing
- Fiber testing

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
