Hi
Title: Technical Solution Architect (AWS)
Location: Charlotte, NC - hybrid
Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description
Position Overview:
The right candidate will be a hands-on, developer-grounded Technical Solution Architect who can design and govern high-volume, event-driven AWS integrations in a rapidly scaling, multi-SaaS environment.
This is an architecture-first, integration-heavy, AWS event-driven systems role — not DevOps, not business architecture, and not a senior developer trying to level up.
What You''ll Be Doing:
Proactive Architecture Planning
- Meet regularly with PMs and POs to understand what''s coming
- Anticipate integration needs before dev begins
- Design scalable API and event-driven communication patterns
- Define architectural standards and reusable patterns
Design & Document Architecture
- Create detailed architectural diagrams
- Lay out data flow patterns (API → Event Bus → Lambda → downstream system)
- Ensure designs stay within enterprise guardrails
- Handle architectural layout for high-volume integrations
Event-Driven System Architecture (AWS-Based)
- Design patterns leveraging:
- AWS Lambda
- Event buses
- Queues
- API integrations
- Define how external data enters, flows through systems, and persists
- Design resilient, fan-out event communication models
Technical Governance
- Present architectural decisions to development teams
- Ensure stories are properly broken down
- Validate that implementations match architecture intent
- Evaluate and improve technical standards and processes
- Maintain production integrity
Cross-Functional Communication
- Meet with business stakeholders and vendors
- Translate technical direction clearly and confidently
- Maintain discretion — avoid technical oversharing
- Speak with authority grounded in experience
What You''ll Need to Have:
- A minimum of 3+ years of proven experience as a seasoned Technical Solution Architect with a strong software development background (Python/C#), deep AWS event-driven integration expertise, and experience designing high-volume, scalable API architectures in a rapidly growing SaaS environment.
- Experience handling high-volume / high-throughput systems (millions of transactions/hour)
Technical Background:
- Hands-on experience in software development
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, Node.js, and Python
- Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Experience working with APIs, event-driven processing, and third-party integrations.
Engineering Practices:
- Knowledge of strategic IT solutions and best practices, including CI/CD deployment and mature SDLC practices.
Problem Solving and Communication:
- Excellent analytical, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills (presentations, documents, emails)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Thanks
