Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible for elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business requirements.
Research and exploration of user requirements, costs, and benefits in support of documentation required for the demand management process.
Responsible for analyzing the business needs to identify new processes and process improvements that will meet those needs.
Documents current business processes and models to define requirements and/or gaps.
Analyze detailed system factors including input/output requirements, information and paper flow, hardware, and software needs.
Analyze soft" system factors including roles, responsibilities, policy, culture, etc.
Evaluate the impact of potential software and process changes on the organization.
Develop and facilitate groups as necessary in pursuit of eliciting and defining requirements.
Assist in the creation of the business case documentation.
Understanding of architectural consistency and usability standards.
Defines and develops user test cases and validates test results during testing.
Executes unit and functional test cases.
May conduct system demonstrations and training sessions, as well as participate in design/review of training content.
Plays a third level support role by helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues with production systems.
Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or another related field or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience leading data migration requirements from legacy systems into a new ERP (Sage X3) environment
Strong hands-on expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management, with emphasis on data mapping, transformation rules, and validation
Deep understanding of data structures, data quality, and migration best practices, with the ability to identify gaps and risks early
Self-driven and accountable professional with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to drive outcomes with minimal oversight
Working knowledge of Confluence and JIRA.
Experience in any of the following business areas is desired: Sales operations, order entry, accounting, finance, procurement, warehouse operations, order management, and order fulfillment.
Minimum of 3-5 years business analysis or systems analysis experience is preferred.
Bonus: Sage X3 experience (ERP).

Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies, processes, and procedures.

Job Title: IBM Series Administrator II

Location: Oshkosh WI (Open for non Local with relocation assistance)

Duration: Full Time

Job Description:

This role provides advanced technical leadership for our IBM Power servers, IBM i OS partitions, HMC, VIO Servers, and IBM DS storage arrays. The position ensures stability of our mission-critical ERP platforms while driving innovation in observability, automation, and security.

Your impact:

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex operational support, troubleshooting, security enforcement, and performance tuning across IBM Power systems and IBM i OS environments.
  • Expertise in IBM Power and IBM i OS, with responsibility for end-to-end management of the ecosystem spanning hardware, virtualization, and operating system administration.
  • Experience administering IBM VIOS, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Drive the adoption of observability and AIOps practices to improve monitoring, reduce mean time to resolution, and proactively identify issues.
  • Advance automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, CL) to modify best practices, streamline patching/compliance, and reduce operational overhead and repetitive work
  • Support the design, testing, deployment and support of HA/DR solutions (MIMIX or similar) to ensure ERP availability and business continuity.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and strong communication to bridge technical and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with modernization initiatives.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Proven expertise with HMC, MIMIX HA/DR, VIO server, and IBM DS storage.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, incident resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, CL scripting, and infrastructure design.
  • Ability to work standard business hours, with availability for after-hours/weekend work during patching, OS upgrades, and on-call rotations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Standout qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing IBM i OS and IBM Power hardware environments.
  • Experience implementing observability and AIOps initiatives to reduce noise, accelerate incident response, and drive predictive insights.
  • Familiar with Fortra products (Alert, Console, Compliance Monitor, Exit Point Manager) or similar products.
  • Background in driving platform security initiatives and automating compliance.
