Power BI Developer

Job Description
As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade analytics solutions and dashboards. You will be expected to work independently to translate complex business requirements into scalable, user-friendly BI solutions, fostering a culture of self-service analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
Design & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models (star/snowflake schemas).
Advanced DAX & Power Query: Author complex Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and M code to build advanced calculated measures and optimize data transformation processes.
Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources, including cloud and on-premise data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports, optimizing data queries for faster rendering.
Governance & Security: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), workspaces, and data privacy standards in accordance with data governance policies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
Automation: Utilize Power Automate or Python to automate reporting workflows and improve efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting, specifically with Microsoft Power BI.

Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M).
Advanced SQL proficiency (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, query optimization).
Data Modelling: Strong experience in dimensional modelling and building scalable data models (star/snowflake schemas).
Power BI Service: Experience managing workspaces, app workspaces, and data gateways.
