Role: Model N Technology Architect

Job Description:

As the Model N Domain & Technology Architect, you will serve as the primary technical authority for our Model N revenue management ecosystem. You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that our clients' life sciences or high-tech revenue operations are seamless, compliant, and highly performant. This role requires a deep understanding of the Model N Powered by N (PBN) platform, Flex, and global pricing/rebate domains.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture & Strategy

• Design and oversee the end-to-end technical architecture for Model N implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Define the roadmap for integrating Model N with upstream/downstream systems (ERPs like SAP/Oracle, CRM platforms, and Data Warehouses).
• Provide architectural leadership on complex customizations vs. standard "out-of-the-box" functionality to ensure long-term maintainability.

2. Domain Expertise

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Revenue Management domains, including Government Pricing (GP), Medicaid, Managed Care, Global Price Management, and Chargebacks.
• Translate regulatory changes (e.g., CMS mandates) into technical system requirements.

3. Technical Governance

• Perform code reviews, system health checks, and performance tuning for the Model N application and Oracle database layers.
• Standardize MSP delivery frameworks to ensure consistent configuration across multiple client environments.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for high-priority technical incidents that exceed standard support tiers.

4. Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Client Partners and Program Managers to align technical delivery with client business goals.
• Conduct technical workshops and discovery sessions to define "To-Be" states for new MSP clients.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

• Platform Mastery: Extensive experience with Model N Flex and Powered by N (PBN) versions.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• Integration: Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Boomi) and middleware
• Reporting: Familiarity with Model N Intelligence (Cognos/Tableau integration).
• Cloud Architecture: Experience with AWS or Azure hosting environments for Model N application suites.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years in IT, with at least 6-8 years dedicated specifically to Model N architecture and implementation.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven track record in the Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical/MedTech) or High-Tech/Semiconductor industries.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Certifications

• Model N Certified Architect/Professional.
• Cloud Certification (AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Architect).
• Project Management (PMP or Agile Scrum Master).
