Power BI Admin
Candidates have to have Fabric experience
They want someone who can be forward‑looking when it comes to enhancements or proposals related to any new features that are available and can be implemented.
- Need a senior candidate, heavy reporting experience, creating dashboards, etc.
- Need someone who has advanced power BI platform experience but can also understand different aspects of the admin piece.
- Definitely needs to know development.
- Gave an example if someone comes to them and claims a report is taking too long, they will need to be able to run and troubleshoot why that''s happening.
- They use ETL information and ADF- PowerBI has embedded these features so they are also using data flow
- From a security standpoint will need to be making sure proper group set ups are happening for different user groups
- Tenure is important

Responsibilities:
• Ideally around 8+ years of relevant expertise in data platform engineering, business intelligence, and data visualization.
• Power BI: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models following industry best practices.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Power BI dashboard development, ETL processes, data modeling
• Platform Management: Administer and oversee the Power BI platform, managing user access, security settings, and integrations with other systems.
• Data Gateway Installation: Install, configure, and manage onpremises data gateways to ensure secure data transfer.
• Managed Virtual Networks (VNets): Implement and manage VNets for Power BI to optimize connectivity and enhance security.
• System Maintenance: Conduct regular reboots, updates, and maintenance to ensure the Power BI environment remains reliable.
• Fabric Experience: Utilize Microsoft Fabric capabilities, including managing data flows, pipelines, and workspace collaboration to streamline analytics processes.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to organizational policies, data governance, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Power BI administration, Fabric tools, and development.
Mandatory Power BI Development: Handson experience in Power BI report/dashboard creation, DAX calculations, and data modeling.
Experience: Several years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or IT system administration.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Fabric certifications, or other analytics certifications.
Best Practices Knowledge: Deep understanding of Power BI best practices for security, performance, and governance.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams effectively.
