Automation Network Engineer DDI

Job Summary The Automation Network Engineer (DDI) is responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting automation solutions for DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) infrastructure across hybrid environments. This role focuses on improving platform availability, reducing delivery time through automation, and ensuring reliable network services. The position operates within enterprise infrastructure and applies ITSM best practices to support both on-premises and cloud-based network systems. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain automation solutions using Python and Ansible Tower Support and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reliability Develop and deploy automation for DDI platforms, including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM Manage and support DDI infrastructure across on-premises and cloud service provider environments Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and DDI-related issues, including participation in on-call rotations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure 24x7 availability of network services Apply ITSM methodologies, including change management best practices, to support service delivery Consult with business partners on standard methodologies, solutions, and improvements Contribute to automation strategy and act as a subject matter expert for team automation initiatives Mentor team members and support skill development in automation and network engineering Support load balancing automation and develop expertise in related technologies Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with automation using Python and Ansible Tower 24 years of experience in network engineering Experience with DDI platforms such as Infoblox or similar DNS/DHCP/IPAM solutions Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals Experience with Linux systems and scripting Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud) Proven ability to troubleshoot network and cloud networking issues Familiarity with ITSM processes, including change management Understanding of enterprise security policies and standard methodologies Experience working in Agile environments Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Network certifications Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) development Experience working with load balancing technologies and automation Ability to present technical concepts and strategic ideas to senior stakeholders Strong interest in developing expertise in DDI and related network domains Education: Bachelors Degree Certification: Network
