Senior Business Systems Analyst

Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst (Lead) – Copilot Studio & Azure AI/FoundryLocation: Anywhere in the U.S. (Remote)
Duration: 6–9 months (initial)

This is not a greenfield build. The role focuses on improving, restructuring, and extending an existing production system while aligning it with modern Azure AI capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth in AI platforms with business systems analysis experience, particularly within enterprise IT environments (ERP systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

Copilot Studio Optimization & Analysis

Review and assess the existing Copilot Studio implementation (600+ topics)
Identify:
Redundant or overlapping topics
Routing inefficiencies and performance issues
Gaps where generative AI or RAG can improve outcomes
Refactor and streamline conversational architecture

Azure AI/Foundry Modernization

Transition legacy implementations to modern Azure AI/Foundry patterns
Implement:
Cognitive Search with embeddings
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
Custom APIs and function/tool calling
Convert static topics into grounded generative experiences

Advanced AI Capabilities

Build and enhance:
Summarization features
Context-aware conversations (multi-turn memory)
Advanced query understanding
Multi-step reasoning workflows

Content Grounding & Accuracy

Improve chatbot grounding using:
Internal documents
Public websites
Enterprise knowledge bases
Replace older GPT-4 ingestion approaches with improved Azure-native solutions

Business Systems Analysis (Lead Role)

Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business units
Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions
Work within enterprise systems landscape (ERP, SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.)
Lead requirement gathering, process analysis, and solution validation

Architecture & Governance

Design a scalable and maintainable Copilot architecture
Define best practices for:
Prompt engineering
Testing and evaluation frameworks
AI governance and lifecycle management

Documentation & Handoff

Produce:
Technical documentation
Architecture diagrams
Troubleshooting playbooks
Ensure smooth knowledge transfer to internal teams
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with:
Microsoft Copilot Studio
Azure AI/Foundry
Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize large-scale AI/chatbot systems
Experience with:
Cognitive Search
RAG architectures
Prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
2–3+ years building or integrating LLM-based solutions in Azure
Experience with enterprise-scale AI deployments
Strong background in Business Systems Analysis (Lead level)
Domain knowledge in IT Services environments
Experience working with ERP systems such as:
SAP
PeopleSoft
