Position: Implementation Engineer (Cisco)

Location: Plano, TX Remote Work

Type of Employment: 12+ Months Contract

Role Description:

• Meet client-specific requirements| ensuring compatibility with their existing IT infrastructure and systems.
• Perform rigorous testing of systems to ensure stability| efficiency| and security before full-scale implementation.
• Provide detailed documentation and standard operating procedures for the client| ensuring they understand the new systems and any changes made.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation phase| offering timely and effective solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of implementation projects.
• Evaluate post-implementation system performance| making adjustments as necessary and providing ongoing support and optimization services.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering| computer science| business| finance or related field or technical training. Must have strong analytical skills.
• Minimum of 3 years experience required in technical role in the following focus areas Data Center| Cisco Nexus Platform switches| Arista| Arista CVP desired| BGP| Automation experience must have Ansible.
• Python is a plus. Unix or Linux background is a plus. CCIE preferred| Financial services (Insurance| Banking| Investment banking)| is a plus.
• Ability to be nimble and flexible prioritize workload| proactively react to issues and consistently react to shifting deadlines. Ability to work weekends (as needed) for migration work.
• Soft skill - Leadership be a self-starter| self-directed and shows initiative. Focused on execution| delivery and commitment to dates. Ability to work in a high paced environment.
• Can manage risk is a good decision maker. Understands the big picture can relate to the firms strategy and actions and how they support our business results.
• Demonstrates ownership Is accountable and influence| can hold others accountable (professionally). Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to communicate and influence upward as well as laterally. Organized and detail oriented.
