Building on nearly 50 years of success, we deliver Payload & Protection Systems, Aero/Hydrodynamic Interstage Systems, and Propulsion & Launch Systems to more than 80 prime contractors supporting over 130 space and defense programs.

In this role, you will lead electrical design efforts from concept through delivery for complex space and defense systems. You will guide multi-disciplinary engineering activities, support new business development, and mentor junior engineers while operating with minimal oversight. Your leadership will help shape electrical engineering capabilities, strengthen proposal efforts, and ensure robust, qualification-ready hardware is delivered.

Responsibilities
  • Leads electrical design, development, testing, analysis, manufacturing, and execution of multi-disciplinary projects across multiple programs.
  • Generates robust designs that account for electrostatic discharge (ESD), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and challenging environmental conditions.
  • Creates and reviews complete electrical drawing packages for manufacturing, cost, and quality assurance.
  • Leads prototyping, hardware assembly, development testing, and product qualification activities.
  • Performs calculations and produces detailed circuit analysis reports.
  • Supports departmental growth and development of electrical engineering tools and practices.
  • Participates in candidate assessments and supports hiring activities.
  • Contributes to technical proposals, quick-turn concept design efforts, and presentations.
  • Mentors junior engineers and supports performance review activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience in aerospace, defense, and/or avionics.
  • Detailed knowledge of military specifications and industry standards, including IPC.
  • Experience designing robust hardware that has undergone qualification testing.
  • Proficiency with circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE or LTSPICE.
  • Advanced experience in testing and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Advanced experience with schematic capture, printed circuit board (PCB) layout and routing, and circuit board design principles using software such as Altium Designer.
  • Experience developing automated test equipment apparatuses.
  • Experience with serial communication protocols including RS-422, RS-485, and MIL-STD-1553, and experience developing related hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with C, C++, C#, Python, or Matlab; familiarity with Verilog or VHDL is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • Strong electrical aptitude, creativity in problem solving, and ability to track overall program goals while focusing on technical details.

Special Mentions
  • Minimal travel may be required.

This position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.

Benefits
