Quality Engineer (R&D)

We are hiring a Quality Engineer to start immediately.

• This is going to be a 7 months contract position, with possible extension but no promises


• 100% on site in Tustin, working with the R&D team


• Hourly Rate will be up to 38/hour on W2


• This is to address workload from a new product coming, working on the floor with several other engineers from R&D, Assemblers and 3 other quality testers.

• you will be performing test setups, break down, execute testing, execute dry runs, feasibility and verifications of all test setups

Essential Job Functions:

• Performing hands-on Tests, data collection, report writing, equipment qualification, and additional R&D support


• Developing new test systems and improving existing test systems together with R&D teams

• Perform engineering tests per ISO guidelines in support of design qualifications.


• General laboratory maintenance.


• Coordinate and execute equipment Installation Qualification and Calibration.


• Build prototypes and pilot units utilizing guidewire and catheter fabrication techniques and process technologies.


• Assist in the transfer of newly developed products from OEM R&D to production.


• Perform job functions in accordance with applicable GMP and ISO guidelines.


• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.


• Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all tasks that require such precautions.


• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees.


• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience of working in technical environments (including military experience).


• Understanding of complex systems (mechanical, electrical, controlled systems, pneumatics, hydraulics)


• Knowledge in the use of Microsoft office programs, particularly Word and Excel


• Good (oral and written) English


• A high school diploma is required - must
