Job Summary:
Belcan is seeking a Program Quality Engineer (PQE) to support a key aerospace program in Windsor, CT. This role serves as the primary quality interface for the program, leading investigation management, driving corrective actions, and ensuring timely resolution of customer quality concerns.
The PQE will analyze and report on open investigations, manage issue disposition, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure program quality objectives are achieved.
Hybrid work arrangement (3 days on-site support with some remote flexibility). Minimal to no travel is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary customer quality interface, supporting reviews, audits, and senior-level presentations.
* Lead and coordinate investigation activities, including analysis, reporting, and disposition of open quality issues.
* Drive Preventive and Corrective Actions (CAPA) in partnership with Design, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
* Manage and resolve customer quality issues to meet program performance and business unit objectives.
* Facilitate critical issue resolution using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Quality Clinic).
* Leverage customer and internal performance metrics to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Communicate improvement plans, progress, and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders and customers.
* Champion key quality initiatives, including Zero Defect Plan (ZDP) and PPAP implementation.
Core Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or relevant field.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
* Experience managing customer investigations and corrective action processes.
* Proficiency with SAP and similar ERP systems.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
* U.S. Citizenship required due to program requirements.
Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package. Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $40.00-42.00 per hour. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations.
