A growing multifamily developer-owner is hiring a Superintendent to lead an upcoming ground-up project in South Bend. This team emphasizes collaboration, long-term growth, and empowering Superintendents to run their projects without micromanagement.

Job Details

Typical Duties & Responsibilities
Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout
Supervise subcontractors, jobsite personnel, and trade coordination
Maintain safety compliance and enforce jobsite safety programs
Assist with schedule development and ensure milestone adherence
Conduct site inspections and quality control reviews across all trades
Coordinate inspections with local authorities, ownership, and lenders
Review scopes of work, drawings, and specifications for constructability
Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, logs, and reports
Lead punch list completion and turnover activities
Communicate regularly with project management and ownership on progress and risks

Qualifications
5+ years of ground-up multifamily construction experience as a Superintendent
Experience with walk-up, wood-frame multifamily projects preferred
Strong labor management and subcontractor coordination skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and resolve field issues proactively
Comfortable working with inspectors, municipalities, and ownership groups
Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction documentation tools
OSHA certification preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors year-round
