Oracle Database Developer

Introduction

The Oracle Database Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Oracle-based applications, as well as providing production support and software O&M. They will work with a variety of technologies including Oracle databases, PL/SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, HTML5, CSS, and SOAP based Web Services. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrable proficiency with Oracle 19+ databases
• Develop PL/SQL packages, functions, and stored procedures
• Utilize JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, XML, HTML5, and CSS for web development
• Work with SOAP based Web Services
• Configure Oracle applications, write SQL and PL/SQL code, and perform database object modeling
• Optimize performance of custom extensions, data conversions, data reporting, and interface development
• Adhere to best practices, program standards, and conventions
• Analyze and refactor existing code to improve performance and maintainability
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Communicate effectively and manage time efficiently
• Work independently with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Clear background screening process

Requirements

Experience/Skills

• 9+ years of hands-on experience developing Oracle-based applications
• Prior experience in production support and software O&M
• Experience with version control systems such as SVN and Git

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Oracle APEX development Version 19+
• Knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence
• Experience using frontend web development tools with APEX
• Experience with Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX)
• Understanding of Agile development and DevSecOps practices
