4 month contract Summary Calling all bold thinkers and media mavens! The Director of Paid Media is the go-to leader for crafting and executing dynamic, full-funnel media strategies across the company's brands, including our award-winning loyalty program, Company Rewards . From driving awareness to closing the loop with direct response, this role is all about building impact and revenue across North America through omni-channel paid media.
We are looking for a critical thinker who uses analytics and data to inform decisions, uncover opportunities, and optimize campaign performance. This role requires someone with expertise across both Brand and Performance Marketing channels. This individual will have financial oversight over a portion of the company's overall media budget.
As a key driver of innovation and collaboration, the Director will lead omni-channel paid media campaigns working shoulder-to-shoulder with Brand Marketing, Digital, Analytics, and guiding our agency partners in flawless execution of the company's business objectives. This high-visibility, owner-facing role requires accountability, agility, and the confidence to steer complex conversations with stakeholders at all levels, all while maintaining a guest-centric and owner-first mindset. Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership (30%) - Shape and execute, in partnership with our agency, a cutting-edge paid media strategy that spans all channels and relevant guest segments across the marketing funnel.
- Partner closely with Brand Marketing to align creative, messaging, and budgets for maximum impact at every stage of the traveler journey.
- Stay nimble and future-focused, leading the charge on media trends, customer behavior shifts, and emerging technologies.
Agency and Partner Management (30%) - Be the quarterback for the company's external media agency, ensuring flawless planning, activation leadership, and optimization of multi-channel campaigns.
- Drive innovation through platform partnerships, managing key relationships and establishing Joint Business Plans (JBPs) where needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to constantly raise the bar on media performance and efficiency.
Budget Oversight and Financial Impact (15%) - Partner with the Senior Director of Paid Media and the Senior Director of Marketing Effectiveness in the allocation and optimization of Company's media budget, also working alongside Brand Marketing to top-of-funnel growth with bottom-line revenue goals.
- Harness data-driven insights to fine-tune investments and deliver results that matter.
- Partner with Finance, Analytics, and Brand Marketing to ensure every dollar spent is strategically aligned and accounted for.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Optimization (25%) - Build and maintain a crucial working partnership with Brand Marketing to ensure that the right message reaches the right audience at the right moment.
- Collaborate across CRM, PR, Digital, and more to create seamless integration between paid and owned strategies.
- Play a key role in creative development, advocating for dynamic, personalized campaigns that use first-party data and AI to target, optimize, and innovate.
Complexity: - This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead omni-channel paid media strategies with significant visibility and impact. You'll work closely with internal teams, agency partners, media vendors, and stakeholders to drive innovation and deliver measurable results. As an owner-facing position, you'll represent Company's owner-first philosophy and have opportunities to present strategies and insights to various audiences, including leadership. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking, collaboration, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment. While Company's has 25 global brands, this individual will be responsible for managing a specific segment within our North American portfolio.
- This role oversees the strategy, execution, and optimization of a portion of Company's paid media budget, driving results across the entire funnel across North America (US + CA).
Required Skills:
- 9-12 years of experience in paid media strategy and execution, with a track record of managing large budgets and delivering results.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and inspire teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Media Mastermind: Proven expertise in managing omni-channel campaigns, from brand awareness to direct response.
- First-Party Data Guru: Skilled in leveraging first-party data and AI for precision targeting, optimization, and creative development.
- Dynamic Storyteller: Adept at crafting compelling presentations and delivering them with confidence to diverse audiences.
- Agile and Collaborative: Thrives in fast-paced environments with a knack for building strong partnerships across teams.
- Analytical Powerhouse: Data-driven and ROI-obsessed, with a proactive approach to uncovering opportunities for optimization.
- Creative Visionary: Experienced in leading dynamic, personalized creative campaigns that make a lasting impact.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced certifications in media platforms (Google, Meta, CTV platforms, etc.) or digital marketing are a big plus.
- Hospitality or franchise experience is a plus but not required.
