As one of the newest Chenega companies, Chenega Defense & Aerospace Solutions (CDAS) was developed with the purpose of providing expert Engineering and Technical Support Services to federal customers.

The Associate Technical Training Designer & Instructor supports the senior Training Technical Designer & Instructor by assisting with the design, development, editing, and maintenance of training content, as well as the preparation and delivery of virtual and in-person training, including moderating, presenting, and facilitating. Conducts in-depth research and conducts SME interviews to develop training content. The Associate Technical Training Designer & Instructor additionally maintains the training SharePoint repository, and performs supplementary administrative functions surrounding the training sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in composing, adapting, producing, and editing new procedural and training documentation, including user guides, training manuals, job aids, videos/presentations, and other similar media
  • Review and edit existing materials
  • Support the implementation of training solutions established for a given requirement, considering the subject matter, project requirements, location, class size, and other variables
  • Conduct subject matter and policy research, interviews, and reviews case studies of documented training gaps to assist in developing training solutions
  • Assist with preparation and delivery of training
  • Assist with surveys and analysis, and support the scheduling and administration of training workshops, webinars, and MS Teams presentations as directed
  • Serve as moderator, presenter, or facilitator for in-person, webinar, and virtual training sessions, and may occasionally travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations to support the administration of training
  • Administer and maintain the DPM SharePoint training repository and materials
  • This role requires flexibility in work hours to accommodate training across multiple international time zones
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years experience developing training and instructional materials and providing instructor-led training.
  • 2+ years of experience with MS Office suite
  • Experience in creating graphic materials such as posters, job aids, diagrams, and instructional guides with images and graphics.
  • Experience in presenting training / presentations to a group, both in-person and virtually
  • Experience in conducting online research to gain knowledge or resolve technical issues
  • Secret clearance
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Diplomatic Pouch and Mail operations/workflows.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in designing and producing media / materials using graphic elements and software
  • Proficient in creating high quality presentations and slide shows
  • Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PDF applications
  • Proficient in public speaking
  • Able to proactively self-direct, triage tasks, problem solve, and work independently
  • Strong knowledge of MS PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of MS Teams
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Working knowledge of MS SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
